On the Proclaim Accounts there is an option to be able to have two periods open:
From the Main menu go to the Accounts Administration.
Select the correct Practice.
Click on the Financial tab.
Select UPDATE.
change the drop down on the option 'Allow more than one period' to Yes.
Select SAVE.
