To post the journal follow the below steps:
Go to General Postings.
Select transaction type J (journal).
Click on NEW.
From the period drop down select Period 98.
Fill in all the details of the posting and then select the floppy disk icon on the screen.
Select POST when you have done all your postings.
If a user is unable to post adjustment journals into the previous financial year (Period 98), it is likely that either the period has been closed and no postings can be made, or they have a setting allocated within User Profiles that is preventing them from doing this.
Your Proclaim System Administrator can update the Users Profile by following the steps below:
Open the User Profiles program.
Select the User and click Update.
Select the Proclaim Accounts Tab.
In the General Postings section tick the box titled Post adjustment journals in previous year?
Save and Exit the program.
Note: If you or your system administrator don't have access to User Profiles, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
