For most instances, it will be the tables interacting with the Multi-user access that causes the issue. For example, the Probate case type often uses routines where the screen pops up with a table on which has led to some issue with the data in the case.
Regardless of whether there are actually multiple users in the case, the best solution is to turn the Multi-User Access off for the affected case type.

Turn off Multi-User Access in Case Type Maintenance.

For case types that use a lot of table calculations within cases keeping Multi-User Access turned off is advised to avoid any disruptions to the cases.

If you or your system administrator don't have access to Case Type Maintenance, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
