If you are receiving the 'Cannot close - you still have a 'Linked Action' screen active for this case' error when trying to close a case, or if Proclaim seems to be freezing when you click an action button like Send Letter, or if you have an active window on the taskbar that you cannot view, the most likely cause is that a window in proclaim is appearing off-screen. This is a common issue amongst users who have multiple desks with varying numbers of monitors, it occurs when a window is dragged onto an additional monitor and that monitor is then disconnected.
A program called Reset Screen has been created to fix this problem. In order to get this program added to your Proclaim toolbar, or to find out your User Number, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
If you have access to the Reset Screen program please follow the steps below to use it.
Sign in to Proclaim and open Reset Screen.
Type your user number into Usernum: and click Reset Screen Dimension.
Click YES.
