Selective screens

Use the Selective Screens tab to apply settings so that specific screens can be seen in the viewing pane in Proclaim Desktop depending on the result of an option field in the case.

Some case types already have this activated, however to set this up or amend the current settings, please follow the steps below:

  1. Enter the Screen Designer Program then click the Selective Screens tab.

  2. From the main view, select the required Case Type then click Check Out.

  3. Click Update then ensure that the Enable selective screen feature for the selected case type? option is ticked.

  4. To select the option field to use as the trigger for the selective screen, click the field selector icon to the side of Selectively show screens based upon the content of this field.

  5. Select the field from the field selector then click Accept.

  6. From the When above field = drop-down, select the required option.

  7. Tick the screens that you want to be visible when this option is selected on a case, and untick the screens you wish to be hidden.
Note: Repeat steps 6 and 7 for each option in the list if necessary

  8. Click Save then click Commit.
    Note:
Users will need to sign out of Proclaim and then sign back in to pick these changes up.

Set authority level on a screen

The authority level defines the level of security that should be associated with the screen so only users who have a security setting of that number or above can see the screen in the viewing pane within a case. A user’s security level is set as part of their User Profile.

To amend the security level of a screen follow the steps below:

  1. Enter the Screen Designer program.

  2. Select the screen then click Check Out and Update.

  3. In the Auth. Level field, type the Authority level number you want to set the screen to.

Tip: Users with a security level below this number won't be able to see the screen in the Proclaim Desktops viewing pane.
If the screen is called as part of a routine, for example, a Linked Action, the screen will still be visible.
