Task Toolbar flashing

When a Notification/Pop-up is displayed that requires an action, the task Toolbar will change colour to orange and will flash intermittently at 15 second intervals until the Notification has been actioned. Below is a list of events in which this will occur:

  • The Outlook Calendar Notifications pop-up

  • Calendar Reminder pop-up

  • An Information message pop-up (including an Information message generated by a Linked Action)

  • A Question pop-up that displays prior to an Action e.g. a Send Letter with ‘before’ Proclaim Editor option set in Workflow Maintenance

Amending this setting

It is possible to create a new system parameter with a Value that will apply the number of seconds to control the ‘flash’ interval, or to turn off the flashing completely. Follow the steps below to amend this feature:

  1. Enter the System Parameter Maintenance Program

  2. Click on New

  3. Within the Key field type Notification Flash

  4. Within the Code field type Interval

  5. Within the Value field type NN (NN = number of seconds. If the Value is set to ‘Zero’ this will completely stop the flash from occurring)

  6. Click on Save

  7. Exit the program

If you or your system administrator does not have access to System Parameter Maintenance, please raise a support ticket and quote this article.
