On a computer from the server
To install Proclaim follow the steps below:
Log in to PC as Administrator.
Reduce the User Account Control Setting to Never Notify.
Locate the program files file location on the Proclaim database server:
\SERVER-NAME\prodisk\proclaim\ x.x.x install - this may differ from site to site
Right-click the x.x.x.exe icon and run as Administrator.
Select the components you want and select Run. After completing the installation, revert the User Account Control (UAC) settings to their original state. If specific components like DevExpress are not included in the main installer, navigate to the Proclaim Programs folder and run their dedicated installers.
Note: replace x.x.x with your version number.
Troubleshooting Missing Components: If components are still missing after running the main installer, verify that the installer was executed correctly. Check the Proclaim Programs folder for dedicated installers for specific components like DevExpress. Ensure that UAC settings were adjusted as recommended during the installation process.
From a Terminal Server
To add the icon to the users PC from the terminal server, right-click the proclaim.exe icon and click send to desktop from the machine you are trying to drop the icon on. Alternatively, your IT can add it as a shared icon making it available to all users.
