It could be that the app servers need to be stopped and started.

To start and stop these servers please do the following:

  1. On the server that runs the app servers (normally Proclaim Database server) browse to \\prodisk\Proclaim\Batch\. In this directory you will see two batch files relating to app servers StartAppServer.bat and StopAppServer.bat.

  2. Right click the StopAppServer.bat and run as administrator.

  3. Open task manager and check in details that the app servers are no longer running and all Java sessions have ceased.

  4. Restart the appservers by right clicking the StartAppServer.bat and select run as administrator.

  5. Test FileView.

If your site is using 3.5 Proclaim then the Progress Application Server may not be running.

This can be started in OpenEdge Explorer but if you do not have access to this then please ask on support for help.

If FileView is still not working then try these links:

Proclaim: TouchPoint and fileView not working cannot login since network changes

Proclaim: Proclaim Services - IP addresses and port numbers

If FileView is still not working then Please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
