  1. From server running the appservers, bring up Task Manager, on the details tab and Services.

  2. On Services, locate Admin Service for Openedge.

  3. Right-click then click stop.

  4. Monitor Task Manager for _proapsv instances to end and Java.exe instances to end.

  5. If client is running Apache Tomcat on same server, locate and end in services (right click apache tomcat and Stop).

  6. Restart Apache Tomcat service (if applicable) by right-clicking it in Services and select Start. Ensure tomcat instance reappears in Task Manager.

  7. Restart Admin Service for Openedge service by right clicking in Services and selecting start.

  8. Monitor in Task manager, Java.exe instances should appear first, then _proapsv instances should begin to spawn.

  9. Check again to see if you can login.
