Archive settings for archiving files with specific transactions

There is a setting in the Accounts Administration that can be amended to either Allow/Stop/Warn when archiving a matter with a PIO that has not been paid this is found in the below area:

  1. From the Main Menu select Accounts Administration.

  2. Select the correct Practice on the left hand side.

  3. Click on the System Settings tab.

  4. Find the tab for Matter Archive.

  5. There should be various settings that effect archiving a matter with a balance/ Unreconciled items.

  6. Select UPDATE.

  7. There are three options on these settings Warn/Stop/Allow.

  • Warn will show you a warning if any of the items set are present but will still allow the matter to be archived.

  • Stop will show the warning and not allow you to proceed and archive the matter.

  • Allow will not give you a warning and will allow the matter to be archived.

8. If you are wanting to archive with unreconciled items select the option 'Allow archive if unreconciled items'

9. Once amended select SAVE.
10. You may need to log out of Proclaim and log back in for the change to take effect.

​N.B there is a Password for the Accounts Administration so this will need to be done by an administrator or someone at the firm who has had level two accounts training and has the password.
If you do not have the password then you will need to raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
