Stop accounts postings to a matter or pop up warning message when making a posting

To stop users from being able to post accounts transactions to a specific matter, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Client Matter Enquiry and enter a matter number.

  2. Click the Matter tab.

  3. Near the bottom of the screen, from the Status dropdown, select Stop.

Tip: Another Status option is Warn. When a user acknowledges a Warn message during posting, an entry is made in User History.

​Warning: Stop does not create an audit trail of any kind.

​Note: Customise Stop, Warn and Allow messages by going to Accounts Administration then System Settings and then Status Indicators.
