Accounts Archiving Closing Cases Do Not Match

This occurs when Fee Earners use the Close file option , usually on the main screen of a case,
This sets the file as DEAD.
There maybe a screen or linked actions to close files and mark them as DEAD.

If you have the Proclaim Accounts module, Closing a file does not close the file in Accounts.
To do this the Accounts should use Matter Archive to Archive the file.
This process checks that the accounts balances are 0.00 and there are no uncleared cheques.

If the user is case only, clearing the date closed field by using a ? and saving will reinstate the case.

If Proclaim Accounts is used then:

  1. Go into Matter Archive and select the matter.

  2. Then this will ask if you want to Restore the Matter.

This will make the case LIVE , enabling Fee Earners to work on the case.
