If you are receiving the 'Unable to communicate with Word' error message when trying to access Word documents in Proclaim, but Word seems to be working fine outside of Proclaim, then this is usually caused by a faulty Microsoft Office installation.
In order to fix this please contact your general IT support and request that they run a fix on the Microsoft Office program.
