If your hosted profile is running low on disk space, follow these steps to free up storage:

Step 1: Clear the Downloads Folder

  1. Open File Explorer.

  2. Navigate to:
    This PC > Downloads

  3. Review the files in this folder.

  4. Delete any files you no longer need (such as old installers, documents, or media files).

  5. Right-click the selected files and choose Delete.

Tip: Large media files often take up the most space.

Step 2: Clean Up the Documents Folder

  1. In File Explorer, go to:
    This PC > Documents

  2. Sort files by Date Modified or Size to identify older or larger files.

  3. Delete files you no longer need.

    • If required, move important files to cloud storage or a network drive.

Step 3: Empty the Recycle Bin

  1. Locate the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop.

  2. Right-click it and select Empty Recycle Bin.

  3. Confirm when prompted.

Step 4: Review Your Desktop

  1. Check your Desktop for large or unnecessary files.

  2. Delete or move files as needed.

  3. Empty the Recycle Bin again if you deleted anything.

Step 5: Log Off and Log Back In

  1. Click Start.

  2. Select your user icon and choose Sign out.

  3. Log back in to complete the clean-up process.

Additional Recommendations:

  • Regularly review your Downloads and Documents folders.

  • Consider storing large files in cloud storage or on a network drive.

  • Use these steps periodically to keep your hosted profile running smoothly.
