If the name search has disappeared from Proclaim Desktop for one user, it is more than likely than their user profile may have been changed, in order to get it back please follow the steps below:
Sign in to Proclaim and enter User Profiles.
Select the user in question and click Update.
Select the Email/ Printing tab.
Ensure the two tick boxes External User and Proclaim User in Restricted Users are not ticked.
Click SAVE, restart Proclaim, and test.
