Purchase Ledger invoices can be paid in two different ways either General Postings or Purchase Payment Postings.

General Postings:

  1. Select General Postings from the Main menu.

  2. Pick either a PPO from the drop down box (paying a PIO/PCO) or PPN (paying a PIN/PCN).

  3. Click on NEW.

  4. Put in the Supplier details and pick the invoices you want to pay.

  5. Select the Floppy Disk icon to save.

  6. Select POST when you have done all the different postings.

Purchase Payment Postings:

  1. Select Purchase Payment Postings from the Main Menu.

  2. Select the Bank Account and the supplier in the Account From and Account Up To that you want to pay.

  3. Select if Nominal (PIN/PCN) or Office (PIO/PCO) or you can pick both in the Radio buttons.

  4. Select a Payment Method as well.

  5. Click on the Purchase Accounts tab at the top of the screen to check the suppliers balances you have selected.

  6. Click on the Transactions tab.

  7. All the transactions will be automatically selected so you can just select POST if you want to pay them all.

  8. If you only want specific ones then double click on the transactions you don't want to pay and select POST.

NB
If you have posted the PIN/PIO in the current period you will not be able to pay them as a PPO/PPN in an earlier period and you must either reverse the invoice and repost in the previous period or pay in the current period.

If the invoice net isn't all Vatable then you will have to post in two different PIO postings one with the Net and VAT and one with the Net with no VAT.
