A bank can be closed down but not deleted if it has been set up and used, the best way to do this is the below:
From the main menu go into into Nominal Maintenance.
Select the nominal required in the list and check there is no balance on the nominal.
Select UPDATE.
Tick the box Closed this will close the nominal off and SAVE. You will then need to do the short code if this is a bank you are trying to close down.
Go into Accounts Administration.
Select the tab SHORT CODES.
Find the relevant Short code for the bank account eg C01.
Select UPDATE and then tick the Closed box.
Select SAVE and then this will not show on the system to pick up.
