Create a new bank account in Proclaim Accounts

Create a bank nominal.

Create a short code.

Open the Nominal Maintenance program / Nominal tab.

Click New then enter the new nominal code.
Tip: You can highlight an existing nominal of the same type then click COPY.

Enter or update the Description, Financial type, Analysis type, Sort code and Account Code.

Select the ‘Bank A/c’ checkbox.

Click Save then click Exit.

Open the Accounts Administration program and click Short Codes.

Click New then enter the new short code.
Tip: You can highlight an existing short code of the same type then click COPY.

Enter or update the Description and Type.

Enter the Nominal code created in Nominal Maintenance.

Click Save and then click Exit.
