Set up and view history folders

History folders permissions

To ensure you have permission to create or amend history folders, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Proclaim toolbar, open User Profiles.

  2. Select the profile you wish to amend and then click Case General.

  3. Click Update and then select the Folder Privilege option.

  4. Select Local folders only, or both Local and Master folders.

  5. Click Save and exit the program.

Note: Master folders to appear on every case within a certain case type, and local folders to appear in an individual case.

Enable and create history folders

To create folders in the history follow these steps:

  1. From the Proclaim toolbar, open Case Type Maintenance.

  2. Select the case type to use history folders and then click Update.

  3. Under Allow History Folders? select Yes and then click Save.
    ​Note: You'll see a new folder Icon called History available.

  4. Click Update, then right-click on the History label and select Create Master Folder.

  5. Enter an appropriate name and then click OK.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for any additional folders you want to create.

  7. Click Save and then click Exit.

View history folders

To view the history folders:

  1. From the Proclaim toolbar, open Proclaim Desktop.

  2. Enter a case with a case type using history folders.

  3. If you're not sent to the History straight away click History.

  4. For version 4 onwards:

    1. Click the cog icon.

    2. Hover over Display View and then click Folder View.

  5. For versions prior to v4, toggle between Folder View and Classic View at the bottom of the screen.

Add a local folder

To add a local folder:

  1. Browse to the Folder View as detailed above.

  2. Right-click on an existing folder and select Create Local Folder.
    ​Note: If you've not created folders previously, the folder is named History.

  3. Enter a name and then click the tick.
