There are a number of steps to setting up Active Directory logon in Proclaim. Changes need to be made both in Proclaim and in your Active Directory, the modification needed are outlined below.
If you choose to use Active Directory to log onto Proclaim, please ensure you do not use a Proclaim Password Policy at the same time. If you do, you will need to update the password in User Profiles, each time a User changes the Active Directory Password.
User Profiles
Enter User Profiles, select the User and Click Update.
Within the Main Tab add the userโs active directory user name into the Windows Login field (this is case sensitive). You also need to add a tick into the Use Active Directory? box on the same page.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each user you wish to use active directory logon.
Active Directory Group
The next step is to set up a group within your Active Directory that all Proclaim users need to be a member of.
System Parameter Maintenance
The final step is to add a System Parameter entry into Proclaim by following the steps below:
Enter the System Parameter Maintenance Program.
Click on New.
Within the Key field type Active Directory.
Within the Code field type Proclaim Domain.
Within the Value field type an LDAP query that returns all the members of the group in Active Directory that contains all Proclaim users. eg LDAP://eclipse/cn=proclaim,cn=builtin,DC=eclipse
Click on Save.
Exit the program.
