In order to set this up, you will need access to Option Maintenance and Database Maintenance.

To create a new option list, you will need to set this up firstly in Database Maintenance following the below steps:

  1. Open Database Maintenance from your Proclaim toolbar.

  2. Select the case type you wish to amend at the top left.

  3. Click new at the bottom right.

  4. Select option from the list on the left.

  5. Enter the name of the option list you wish to use.

  6. Add the screen label (how it will appear by default on screens).

  7. Add an initial value if needed, or leave blank.

  8. On the table on the bottom right, add a new Heading by clicking the first line (this will always be stored as an alphanumeric field).

  9. Enter any additional headings where you want data to be held against options.

  10. Click save.

You have now created the option field.

In order to amend the option list, you will now need to follow the below steps:

  1. Open Option Maintenance from your Proclaim toolbar.

  2. Select the case type your option is located in on the top left.

  3. On the list on the left-hand side, locate the option field you wish to amend.

  4. Select the option field.

  5. Click update to amend existing entries or new to create a new one.

  6. Enter/amend data as needed, and press the tab key to switch to the next entry type for the option.

  7. Click save to save changes.

You have now amended the option list.

Note: Changes on option lists require you to log in and out for them to take effect.
