It is straightforward to re-install/install Proclaim's HTML editor. There are 2 different sets of instructions that you will need to select appropriately. If you are on Proclaim 3.4.1 or previous, please follow the 2nd set of instructions. For Proclaim 3.5 onwards, please follow the 1st set.

Note: Please ensure if using a remote desktop server/terminal server all users are signed out and you are in install mode otherwise this will cause significant problems.

You can enter install mode by doing the following:

  1. Click on the windows icon

  2. Type CMD on your keyboard

  3. Right click Command prompt and select run as administrator

  4. On command prompt, change to install mode by typing change user /install

Instructions for 3.5

  1. Open control panel

  2. Navigate to add/remove programs

  3. Check to see if HTML editor is listed

  4. If HTML editor is listed, please uninstall it

  5. Navigate to your HTML Editor install folder located on your database server

This should follow a similar format to the below:

\\servername\prodisk\Proclaim\3.5Install\CD\ProclaimComponents\HTMLEditor

  1. Now please right click the installer called HTMLEditorInstaller.msi

  2. Select Install

  3. Wait for the process to complete
