If you have had Advanced Report Creator training then you can follow these steps:
In Advanced Report Creator select the report that you wish to exclude archived matters from.
Do a right click, select Create Report and Copy from the selected report.
Rename the report, perhaps adding excluding archived matters to the end of the title.
If they are not already included in the fields on the fields tab add in Matters.Archived and Matters.Archived?.
In the selections test select Matters from the Show selections tests for drop down box.
Add in two new rows.
The first should read (Matters.Archived? <> (fixed value) YES _ or
The next row should say _ Matters.Archived > (Existing report field). Select the param field that is the period) then tick Advanced Function and add PeriodMonthEnd(param field for period, param field for year) then) in the selection test it should read something like this: matters.archived > PeriodMonthEnd(-Param Field-.8.0,-Param )
Ensure that the join clauses are correct with and, or then END at the end.
