To prevent the date field from defaulting to todays date, it is necessary to update the settings in Database Maintenance by following the steps below:
Enter the Database Maintenance Program.
Select the Case Type.
Find the relevant field by scrolling through the list or using the magnifying glass icon to search.
Select the field and click Update.
Amend the record and ensure the Initial value is set to the required value. i.e. if you do not want it to default to “today” select None or an alternative value.
