If the “None” template is defaulting to a cost unit of 1 instead of 0, the Resolution would be to add the Time Costing System Parameter in System Parameter Maintenance by following the instructions below:

  1. Enter the System Parameter Maintenance program

  2. Click on New

  3. In the Key Field enter Time Costing

  4. In the code Field enter None Template Default Units

  5. In Value field enter either “Get Default Units” (when this is set, and the 'None' template is selected on an action, the Units and Value will revert to the original default vales for None/ 0) or “Always Zero” (when this is set, and the 'None' template is selected on an action, the Units and Value will reset to 0). If any other value is required, the parameter can be removed, the program will behave as before.

If you or your system administrator does not have access to System Parameter Maintenance, please raised a support ticket and quote this article.
