Written by Danielle Park

What's new

Access Legal Proclaim v3.5.2.0 is a substantial release that delivers meaningful workflow enhancements alongside over 75 targeted bug fixes addressing customer-reported issues. This update introduces new system controls, improved user interface layouts, and performance optimisations designed to make your day-to-day experience with Proclaim more efficient and reliable.

Key improvements in this release

RTF Code Correction in Word Documents

A new system parameter allows rogue RTF codes that occasionally appear in merged Word documents to be automatically replaced or removed. This resolves a long-standing issue where unwanted characters could appear in generated documents, improving the accuracy of your document output without requiring manual correction.

Non-Live Users Removed from Task Allocation Lists

Users with the Live setting switched off in User Profiles will no longer appear in the list of recently used users when allocating tasks. This ensures your task assignment lists only show active users, reducing the risk of assigning work to inactive accounts. For any existing lists that still show non-live users, an Update and Save within User Profiles on the affected user will correct the display.

Task Diary Privilege Control

A new Default Task Access setting on the Task Diary tab in User Profiles provides a simplified way to manage task permissions across your organisation. You can now choose between the existing "Own Tasks Only" behaviour or a new "All Users – Amend & Delete" option, which grants all users full access to every other user's tasks. This is particularly beneficial for sites with a large number of users that have experienced issues with Task Authorisations.

MIWH Trigger Suppression

A new switch has been introduced within the Case Delete process to suppress MIWH triggers, giving you greater control over background processing during case deletion operations.

Due Date Support in PIN Autopost Import

A Due Date column can now be included in PIN Autopost import files as the last column, providing more precise control over payment scheduling when importing posting data. Proclaim will continue to process import files that do not include the Due Date column, so no changes are required to your existing workflows.

Improved Choose Favourites Layout

The Choose Favourites program has been redesigned to display all available programs as a continuous list, making it easier to locate and select the programs you use most frequently.

Print Queue Cleardown Program

A new Print Queue Cleardown program enables you to efficiently manage and clear your Print Queue through targeted bulk deletion. You can filter records by date, document type, and communication method, giving you full control over print queue housekeeping.

Debit Credit Switch in Purchase Enquiry

It is now possible to display PIO/PIN Debit values in the Credit column within Purchase Enquiry, rather than showing them with a minus sign. This optional change requires a Static Data record to be added by Access and provides a clearer view of your purchase ledger entries.
