The maths item is too large to compile

There is a file size limit of 32000 bytes for maths items in Proclaim, however you can get around this by using the v-run command in your maths as this allows for you to reference other maths items to expand the amount of maths that one item can run.

You can set this up by doing the following:

  1. Within database maintenance, create a new maths field that contains what additional maths you wish to run or a section of maths that can run independently of the rest of the item that is of large size.

  2. Save the maths item

You will now need to add this field in utilizing the v-run command in your other maths item. You can do this by doing the following:

  1. Open the maths editor for the item you wish to insert the V-run command into.

  2. Insert the maths code below:

V-run = {mathsfield.text}

This is now set up and when running your maths item the additional maths item that you have inserted will be called upon.
