Splitting large PDF document bundles

As part of release 3.3.1.04, the document bundling within Proclaim has been updated to cater for very large documents. If the bundle exceeds 30Mb in size, a Question will be displayed stating that the document will be split into parts and asking if you wish to continue. In order to use this functionality, the Proclaim PDF Control version will also need to be Version 3.0.8.

In rare circumstances when producing a very large Bundle you may receive a message: ‘system out of memory’. If this occurs, first close any unnecessary cases and unpin the viewing pane as these use system resources.

Changing the Maximum Bundle Size

The maximum bundle size (the size the document needs to reach before it is split into parts) can be changed from 30Mb to an alternative size by following the steps below:

  1. Enter the System Parameter Maintenance Program

  2. Click on New

  3. Within the Key field type Max Bundle Size

  4. Leave the Code field blank

  5. Within the Value field type the required Mb size i.e. 10

  6. Click on Save

  7. Exit the program

If you or your system administrator does not have access to System Parameter Maintenance, please raise a support ticket and quote this article.
