There is an option that you can change to allow you to reverse a reconciled item without needing to open the bank rec and un-reconcile, this is in the Posting Maintenance.
From the Main Menu select the Posting Maintenance.
Select the OPTIONS tab.
Select UPDATE.
There is an option called 'Items that have been reconciled can be reversed?' tick the box.
Select SAVE.
