Wrong bill numbers are caused when cashiers manually enter a bill number when doing an SIB bill posting.
Bill numbers cannot be changed.
If the bill number is wrong it needs to be reversed and reposted.
If the bill has been allocated to a transfer (TCO) or a receipt (BRO) you have to reverse the transfer, reverse the bill, then repost the bill with the new number and repost the transfer.
Proclaim has Auto bill number feature that can be switched on.
