Removing a lock from a slip

A lock is added to slip postings to prevent two users posting the same slip at the same time. When posting a locked slip, a message is displayed to say there are no valid slip transactions. Within the Slip Postings program, the username of who is locking the slip is added to the narrative field.

Follow the steps below to unlock the slip:

  1. Enter the Slip Postings program

  2. Right click on the required entry

  3. Select Remove Lock

  4. The lock is removed and that slip can be posted by the current user
