This issue may occur if the default program to open .doc files is not set to Microsoft Word. This can be resolved by following one of the methods below:
Open the Windows Start Menu by clicking on the Windows icon in the bottom left of the screen.
Type Default Apps and then select this from the search results which show.
Scroll down and click Choose default apps by file type.
Scroll down until you find the .doc file type.
If this is not associated with Word then click on the default program or the Choose a default option.
Choose Word from this list and this will then be set. Alternatively, you can try the following method:
Create a new text file on your desktop (a
.txtfile).Rename the file and change its extension to
.doc.Right-click the
.docfile and select Open with > Choose another app/program.Choose Microsoft Word and check the option to always use this app as the default for
.docfiles. After resetting the file association using this method, try opening a document from Proclaim again.
