Time recording can be made to automatically default to a specific fee earner by following the steps below, providing the user is actually set up as a fee earner. If not they will need setting up as a handler.

  1. Enter the User Profiles program.

  2. Select the User, and click UPDATE.

  3. Select the CASE GENERAL tab.

  4. Navigate to the Time Recording area.

  5. Tick the Can choose Fee Earner to record against? box.

  6. Select the appropriate cost rate from the Default Cost Table dropdown.

  7. Enter the name of the fee earner to automatically time record against in the Default field.

  8. Click SAVE and EXIT.

N.B For handler named on case use default as Current Case Handler for Fee Earner

  2. Select the Handler Name and click UPDATE.

  3. Select the Details tab.

  4. Ensure the appropriate cost rate is input into the Default Cost List field.

If you or your System Administrator does not have access to User Profiles or Handler Maintenance, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
