The fee for office copies of grants of probate and letters of administration has increased from £1.50 to £16.00. This change applies to any application received after 17th November 2025, so you need to update your Proclaim system immediately.
How to Update Your System
All changes should be made in Database Maintenance within the Probate case type.
For Sites with "PA - Fees - Office Copy" and "PA - Fees - Sealed and Certified Copy" Fields
Open Database Maintenance
Navigate to the Probate case type
Locate the field PA - Fees - Office Copy
Change the Initial Value to 16.00
Locate the field PA - Fees - Sealed and Certified Copy
Change the Initial Value to 16.00
Save your changes
For Sites with "Office Copy Costs" Field
If your system uses a maths field called Office Copy Costs, you'll need to update the formula:
Open Database Maintenance
Navigate to the Probate case type
Locate the Office Copy Costs field
Update the formula to read:
RESULT = ( {Office Copies No Required.Number} * 16.00 ) 5. Save your changes
Effective Date
These changes must be implemented now to ensure accurate fee calculations for all applications received after 17th November 2025.
